Organization building & technical leadership

Initiatives

Creating the teams, tools, and shared infrastructure that help scientific and engineering work happen.

Stanford DroneHacks

Make hands-on aerial autonomy accessible to teams who may not have a robotics lab of their own. Participants will work with common hardware and build software for GPS-denied flight. I founded and direct the event, bringing together student organizers, engineering mentors, sponsors, and university support. My work spans the competition platform, team coordination, and the practical demands of running a hardware-focused event.

You-Oceans

How can more people collect, understand, and act on information about the underwater soundscape? I founded You-Oceans to connect ocean-acoustics research with practical sensing tools and public participation. The work brings together marine-mammal detection, hydrophone electronics, and accessible ways to explore underwater sound.

StanfordUAV

At StanfordUAV, I help lead the development of fixed-wing VTOL and multirotor aircraft. The work spans airframe design, avionics, perception, controls, manufacturing, and testing. I work across autonomy and system integration, including vision-based landing, embedded computing, sensor integration, and flight-test planning. Just as important is coordinating interfaces between the students building each part of the aircraft.

Global Sounds

I am a participant in Global Sounds, the low-cost hydrophone effort associated with POGO and the International Quiet Ocean Experiment. It connects researchers and engineers around accessible underwater recording. The group’s 2026 report documents prototype development, field testing, and preparation for a wider beta-testing program. It lists the participants and links to open project documentation. These are collective project outcomes.

Stanford Student Robotics

Alongside my role as co-lead of StanfordUAV, I serve as co-president of Stanford Student Robotics. The work includes supporting a technical community and coordinating opportunities for students to build integrated physical systems.

Research & collaboration

Working across disciplines.

I’m interested in autonomous systems, environmental sensing, and tools that make scientific observation more accessible. For research, engineering, or speaking inquiries, get in touch.
